LFK MPP John Jordan speaks at Queen's Park.
A major provincial funding announcement late last year is bringing new support to families in Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston.
Speaking at Queen’s Park before the holiday break, Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston MPP John Jordan said the Ontario government is investing more than $37 million over two years to strengthen autism services across the province.
As part of that investment, ConnectWell Community Health has received a two-year, $400,000 grant to support families locally.
ConnectWell says the funding will help meet a growing local need for autism services.
Jordan noted the funding is part of a broader Ontario Autism Program expansion, with the program’s annual budget now totaling $779 million province-wide.
