The Town of Perth will soon hold an information session to present the agreed-upon development plans for Caivan Communities’ proposal to build approximately 1,000 homes on the former Perth Golf Course lands.
Lanark County Council recently approved the necessary official plan amendments after an in-camera meeting. The Town, County, and Caivan have been meeting in Ontario Land Tribunal led mediation sessions to resolve planning issues.
Mayor Judy Brown gives us potential timing and meeting format.
While Brown wouldn’t release details on a much-debated second access bridge, or expanded structure setbacks, and affordability, she did note that she and council were generally satisfied with the outcome.
