The Ottawa Valley Family Health Team (OVFHT) celebrated the grand opening of their new Carleton Place Clinic on January 23rd, expanding the model of team-based primary care. The centre welcomed patients starting last October and the current team of 15 doctors provide care to over 17K area residents.
Executive Director Ashley Killeen describes how the clinic provides complete care.
Those wrap-around supports and resources are crucial to delivering effective healthcare. Killeen lists just some of what patients can access through the clinic on site.
Looking to future needs with growing populations, Killeen says their model of collaborative healthcare delivery gives them valuable insight.
The OVFHT is actively recruiting new physicians and securing funding to support additional healthcare professionals with the goal of welcoming more patients.
