A driver wanted by police is facing charges after a pursuit in Smiths Falls.
Smiths Falls Police Service say the incident happened on Jan. 28, 2026.
Police spotted a driver they knew was wanted and tried to stop the vehicle.
The driver fled in a dangerous manner and struck a snowbank nearby.
Police say the driver then ran from the vehicle and went inside a home.
After a brief discussion, the driver came outside and surrendered to officers.
Thirty eight year old Darcy Bell of Smiths Falls is charged with dangerous operation, flight from police and driving while prohibited.
Police say Bell also faces charges from a December 2025 incident, including assault, obstructing police and trespassing at night.
He was held for a bail hearing.
