Illegal drugs and several replica firearms were seized in Carleton Place after a police investigation into cocaine trafficking in the area.
The Ontario Provincial Police East Region Community Street Crime Unit began the investigation in late 2025.
On Friday, January 30, 2026, officers with the unit, assisted by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Townline Road East.
Police say a quantity of suspected cocaine, several realistic looking replica firearms and items commonly linked to drug trafficking were seized.
An arrest warrant is now being sought for a 40-year-old resident of Beckwith Township in connection with a drug possession offence.
Investigators say the search followed information gathered by the unit during the long-running probe.
Police say the investigation is continuing and more charges may follow as officers review evidence and speak with witnesses in the community.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately.
