LFK MPP John Jordan speaks at Queen's Park.
MPP John Jordan says local communities from Lanark and Frontenac made their presence felt at last month’s Rural Ontario Municipal Association conference in Toronto.
Jordan told listeners the three-day event included several wins and important conversations tied directly to the region. He highlighted recognition for Tay Valley and Mississippi Mills for their work as age-friendly communities.
He also attended the Lanark County delegation, where paramedic leaders discussed data from a new dispatch system and next steps to improve the service.
Post-secondary funding was another key topic, with local impacts top of mind.
Especially after Perth Mayor Judy Brown brought up the closure of the Perth Campus of Algonquin College.
Jordan thanked municipalities across Lanark and Frontenac for advocating on behalf of residents and keeping rural issues firmly on the provincial agenda.
