Sand Cranes Closet at 8 Main St. West in Smiths Falls is giving local families a simple and welcoming way to access clothing, while also supporting the community through donations.
Tina Rogers says the shop is a mix of a community closet and a small gift shop.
Rogers says the closet opened at its Main Street location in April and has already seen strong use.
Customers pay what they can. Some pay less, some pay more, and many choose to pay it forward. A food basket is also available to help hungry stomachs.
Rogers says the space is open to people from all walks of life.
She says the closet is a helpful resource for young parents and the entire family. Anyone who’d like to help out can drop off donations of clothing to the store. Rogers is open Wednesday through Saturday.
