Smiths Falls police say a local man is charged after a stolen vehicle investigation involving multiple police agencies.
Officers received a report of a stolen motor vehicle from a residence Feb. 8 at about 6:38 p.m. Police launched an investigation and alerted nearby agencies.
With assistance from OPP Leeds County, officers located the suspect and vehicle around 11:07 p.m.
As a result, 45-year-old Shawn Woodcock of Smiths Falls is charged with one count of theft of a motor vehicle.
The accused was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing. Police did not release further details about the incident or investigation.
