A new series of free neighbourhood gatherings is helping seniors in the Town of Perth connect, build friendships and learn about local supports.
The six-part program, led by the town’s community services department, launched Feb. 11 at the Royal Canadian Legion with 120 people in attendance.
Director of Community Services Kathy McNally said the idea was to create accessible social “pop-up hours” across town, especially during the winter months.
Upcoming events include chair yoga and exercise at the indoor pool, a social with refreshments at the public library and programming at the Seniors Active Living Centre.
Registration is available online.
