A 27-year-old Smiths Falls woman is facing charges after police responded to a reported intimate partner violence dispute earlier this month.
On Feb. 2, 2026, the Smiths Falls Police Service received a 9-1-1 call about a dispute in progress. Officers attended the scene to investigate.
Police say one person was arrested without further incident.
Following the investigation, the 27-year-old woman was charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police have not released further details about the incident.
