The Hackberry Men’s Shed weekly gathering happens Tuesdays at 6:45 p.m. in the Carleton Place Arena boardroom, 75 Neelin St. Free and open to all mature men. Visit hackberrymensshed.org or call 613-257-1690 for details.
Carleton Place has three outdoor rinks that are maintained by community volunteers. They can be found at Carleton Junction (42 Moore St.), the Carambeck Community Centre (351 Bridge St), and McNeely Park (24 Alexander St.)
The Gerry Lowe Memorial Rink of Dreams in Smiths Falls. It’s open from 8:00am – 8:00pm daily. You’re asked to please keep off this rink during inclement weather, during ice maintenance and during non-scheduled times. The rink was created in partnership with the Gerry Lowe Foundation and the Sens Foundation.
February 26th and 28th, communities throughout Lanark County will get together for Big Brother’s Big Sisters! Bowl for Kids Sake 20-26! Rack ‘em up in Smiths Falls, Carleton Place, and in Perth!
