The Perth Children’s House hosted its third annual Chili Fest, a community fundraiser that brought families, alumni, and residents together in support of the local Montessori school.
Established in 1974, Perth Children’s House is a registered non-profit that relies heavily on volunteerism and community support. That involvement has played a key role in the school’s growth.
In 2020, the school expanded its elementary program from Grades 1 through 3 to a full elementary offering, now serving students in Grades 1 through 6.
The school’s receptionist, Rebecca Richards says students are heavily involved with the Chili Fest.
Chili Fest took place Saturday, February 21st at the Perth Legion.
The family-friendly event featured chili tasting, community voting, and raffle prizes, with volunteers serving dishes prepared by parents, students, and local businesses. Richards says it’s always a great time.
Richards says events like Chili Fest reflect the school’s emphasis on building and sustaining strong community connections, both within the school and beyond it.
Chili Fest is one of many fundraisers hosted by Perth Children’s House, with events throughout the year to support the school and strengthen community connections.
