A 27-year-old man is facing several charges after a reported break and enter in Mississippi Mills Township.
The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police says officers were called just before midnight on Friday, February 20, 2026, for a report of a break and enter in progress at a home.
Police say officers located a male suspect on foot a short distance from the residence and arrested him without incident.
As a result of the investigation, Dustin Amos has been charged with trespass at night, break and enter, two counts of failing to comply with probation, possession of break and enter tools, possession of false identity documents and possession of a suspected Schedule III substance, identified as psilocybin.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on February 26, 2026.
