The $13.3 million grant from the provincial government will be formally passed at the Smiths Falls council meeting Monday night.
The money’s for the town’s trunk watermain and sewer separation project which runs nearly 2km from Chambers Street to the water tower on Air Care Drive.
Director of Public Works and Utilities Paul McMunn reminded council of the remaining costing.
McMunn also provided a timeline.
The grant was announced in January, but the funding agreement must receive council approval before the money is locked in.
