Cornerstone Landing Youth Services’ Elle Halladay was ecstatic when she stood in front of a packed canoe-club hall in Carleton Place to address the 159 participants in this year’s Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk as they prepared to head out on their trek. She could hardly contain herself as she announced the results of the walkers’ work.

She reported that their efforts had brought in over $60K to help Cornerstone’s work to prevent, reduce and end youth homelessness by providing direct support and/or financial assisstance to youth between the ages of 16-24. Board member Mack Girouard said the need for help was clear.
