We’re now into tax season and some people across the country will find filing their taxes a bit easier this year.
The Federal Government’s SimpleFile service launched Monday, March 9th.
It’s a free digital or telephone option available to lower income Canadians with a simple tax situation.
Tech expert Jesse Hirsch explains the service is by invitation only.
Hirsh says AI can also assist people with their taxes.
But he advises people to be careful.
The Canada Revenue Agency plans to further expand automatic tax filings next March.
