A memory from Old Home Week 2025
Tourism officials in Smiths Falls say the upcoming season could be one of the busiest yet, as the town builds on strong momentum from last year’s events.
Jeff Murphy, tourism, arts and culture coordinator for the Town of Smiths Falls, says 2025 set a high bar, but organizers believe the community is ready to go even bigger in 2026.
Murphy says the calendar will feature the return of many popular events along with a few new surprises still under wraps.
Major favourites returning this year include Bike Nights, the Night Market and Mystic Market, outdoor concerts, the Spirit of the Drum Pow Wow and the annual Ribfest in August.
Murphy says one of the biggest changes in recent years has been the number of visitors returning after their first visit.
He says visitors are drawn by the town’s welcoming atmosphere and picturesque downtown.
Murphy credits the growing tourism success to strong partnerships between local groups.
Murphy says the renewed spirit of cooperation among businesses, service clubs and community groups is helping turn Smiths Falls into a destination for visitors throughout the summer and beyond.
