School bus and special vehicle transportation has been cancelled across all counties served by the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario and the Upper Canada District School Board due to forecasted freezing rain.
Officials say the decision was made in response to expected conditions that could make roads slippery for drivers.
Despite the transportation cancellation, all schools remain open.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to use caution if driving students to school and to monitor board websites and local media for any further updates throughout the day.
