March is Meals on Wheels Awareness Month, shining a spotlight on a program that helps seniors and vulnerable residents stay healthy at home. In Smiths Falls, SFPS Special Constable Ferrier joined volunteers Peter Bigras and John Sykes to deliver meals through Community Home Support Lanark County.
Organizers thanked Smiths Falls office coordinator Rachel Kelly and her team for their ongoing work supporting residents across the region.
Meals on Wheels provides nutritious food along with regular safety checks and friendly contact for people who may live alone or have limited mobility.

Officials say volunteers are also welcome year-round.
