A memory from Old Home Week 2025
Old Home Week 2025 was a success by all measures, Director of Community Services Stephanie Clark told Smiths Falls council this week.
She floated numbers around the horseshoe.
Clark said those are low-end estimates as they used geo-location to collect their figures, so the numbers are higher given the amount of attendees who wouldn’t own cell phones.
Mayor Shawn Pankow reiterated his gratitude.
The commitee raised over $185,000 in sponsorship deals paired with the towns $70,000 committment. The town was left with a surplus of just over $15,000
The staff report indicates an estimated $932,000 lift in local business activity during the event week and ensuing 30 days, with an estimated 391% increase in foot traffic.
