The Smiths Falls Bears are moving on in dominant fashion after a 12-1 win over the Brockville Braves at the Brockville Youth Arena, completing a four-game sweep in first-round CCHL playoff action.
Smiths Falls controlled the game from the opening puck drop, outshooting Brockville 44-23 and overwhelming the home side with relentless offence and pressure.
Luka Benoit led the charge with a standout five-point night, scoring four goals and adding an assist to earn first star honours. Tyson Parker also had a big performance, recording six points with two goals and four assists as the Bears continued their offensive surge.
Despite the loss, Carter Cuglietta was named third star for Brockville.
With the win, the Bears become the first team in the Bogart Cup playoffs to advance to the semifinals.
Smiths Falls now awaits its next opponent.
