Smiths Falls is moving ahead with the public consultation phase of their Climate Action Plan as it inches towards approval.
The town’s aiming to have net-zero emissions by 2050, and cut back by 20% as early as 2031.
Councillor Peter McKenna says they’re not flying blind with their plan.
Mayor Shawn Pankow says what’s being proposed has solid bones.
A public open house plus a 30-day comment period will be announced soon.
