The Town of Smiths Falls is calling on residents to help recognize local volunteers by submitting nominations for the 2026 Community Awards.
Mayor Shawn Pankow says the town is fortunate to have dedicated individuals who help shape the community and improve quality of life.
Nominations are open for four categories, including the Brooke & Brittany Henderson Award for Youth, the Charles Gilhuly Award, the Municipal Volunteer Award, and the Good Neighbour Award.
The awards highlight people who give back through volunteer work, community leadership, or acts of kindness.
The nomination period is open until April 17 at 4 p.m., with forms available online or at the Memorial Community Centre.
Winners will be celebrated during a ceremony at the Station Theatre on May 21.
Town officials encourage residents to take part and recognize those making a difference locally.
