A major celebration of local creativity is coming to Carleton Place, as Arts Carleton Place prepares for its 2026 Fine Art Exhibition.
The two-day event on May 2 and 3 will bring together 54 regional artists showcasing a wide range of work, from landscapes to abstracts and everything in between.
Suzanne Deschenes, president of Arts Carleton Place, says the show highlights both variety and local talent.
Most of the artists come from across Lanark County and the Ottawa Valley, inspried by their surroundings.
Visitors can expect new collections from artists who have spent nearly a year preparing for the exhibition, along with opportunities to meet creators and even purchase pieces.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days at the Carleton Place Arena Upper Hall, with free admission and parking. The venue is fully accessible.
Organizers say the exhibition also supports youth arts programs and bursaries in the community.
