A 43-year-old Smiths Falls man is facing multiple charges following a disturbance in Carleton Place.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police say officers responded just after 6:30 a.m. on April 9 to reports of a man carrying a knife and knocking on doors near Pattie Drive and Cram Street.
Police say they located a suspect matching the description and took him into custody without incident. Two knives and a brick were seized at the scene.
Tyler Wark of Smiths Falls is charged with causing a disturbance, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unlawfully being in a dwelling, mischief and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
The accused remained in custody following the arrest and was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 10.
Police have not reported any injuries in connection with the incident.
