Ontario Provincial Police has released the identity of the man killed in a homicide investigation in Perth.
Police say officers responded on April 12 to Last Duel Park around 3:15 p.m., where a person was found with life-threatening injuries. The individual was transported to a trauma centre and later pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Christo Allison Richards of Ottawa.
Investigators say they believe the incident was targeted and there is no indication of a broader public safety threat.
The investigation is being led by the Lanark County OPP under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, with support from the Office of the Chief Coroner, Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, and several OPP specialized units.
