The Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a serious incident in Carleton Place.
Officers were called to a residence near Cram Street and Pattie Drive around 10:50 a.m. Friday, where a man was found outside with injuries. He was transported to a trauma centre for treatment.
Police say the incident is believed to be isolated, and there is no ongoing risk to public safety.
Residents are being asked to avoid the area while the investigation continues. An increased police presence is expected as officers work at the scene.
The investigation involves the Lanark County OPP, along with the Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team, Forensic Identification Services, and detectives from the Regional Support Team.
