A retro gaming venue in downtown Smiths Falls is proving there is no shortage of fun in the community, building a reputation as both a local hangout and a destination for visitors.
Dad’s Arcade is nearing its first anniversary, and owner Pat Maloney says support has continued to grow, with birthday parties, family outings and adult nights all helping fuel momentum. He says the goal has always been to create a place where people can gather, unplug and have fun together.
Pat says one of the biggest rewards has been seeing people connect through classic games in person, rather than online.
The arcade features open-play retro machines, pinball, themed nights and flexible pricing, including all-day play options designed to keep the attraction affordable.
Maloney says after-school specials and Thursday adult events have also helped make the venue appealing to different age groups.
He says seeing younger players discover old-school arcade favourites has become one of the most enjoyable parts of the business.
Maloney says the venue has become part of a growing list of things to do in Smiths Falls. Promotions like the High Score club draw quite the competition. Pat tells us the staff comes up with a classic video game to play each month.
With nostalgia, social connection and affordable entertainment under one roof, Dad’s Arcade is quickly becoming a standout destination in town.
