A spring celebration filled with music, animals and family activities is coming to Smiths Falls.
The Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum will host its Spring Carnival on May 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering a mix of entertainment, games and shopping. Organizers say the event is designed to help families welcome the season while enjoying the museum grounds.
Highlights include a petting zoo from Fur, Feathers and Fins, a performance by the Smiths Falls Community Band and a show by the Rideau Cloggers.
Visitors can also enjoy face painting, scavenger hunts, a bake oven demonstration, a bouncy castle and a meet and greet with Tinkerbell.
A vendor market will feature local crafts and treats, while a barbecue and canteen will be available at extra cost. Admission is by donation.
Organizers say the event aims to combine heritage, community and springtime fun, while giving residents another chance to support local vendors and enjoy a family outing close to home.
