At Mississippi Mills April 28th council meeting, new speed limits were set for Paterson Street and Old Almonte Road. Motorists can expect to see signs indicating that the limit on Paterson will be 40 km/h from Ottawa Street to the point where Paterson becomes Old Almonte Road, near Orchard View Gardens retirement home.
And the new limit on Old Almonte Road from the point that Paterson Street becomes Old Almonte Road to Appleton Side Road will now be 60 km/h.
No indication was made about any grace period for drivers, so slow down to avoid tickets.
