The Smiths Falls Community Hospital Auxiliary will hold its annual Toonie Auction today at the Smiths Falls Legion. The Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust will host its annual general meeting and a virtual presentation by Indigenous scholar Dr. Jennifer Grenz at the MMLT office in Carleton Place tomorrow. The Smiths Falls Lions Club will host a free community meal tomorrow with doors opening at 11:30 a.m. and lunch served from noon to 1 p.m. Organizers say all are welcome. Good Food Box orders are due by the second Tuesday of May, with pickup scheduled the following week.
The Merrickville Lions will host an OPP fraud presentation tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. at the Merrickville Legion. Organizers say the session will focus on common scams and fraud prevention tips, with residents encouraged to attend and learn how to stay protected.
