The Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust will host its annual general meeting and a virtual presentation by Indigenous scholar Dr. Jennifer Grenz at the MMLT office in Carleton Place today. The Smiths Falls Legion will host a Veterans Coffee gathering tomorrow in the Lancaster Room from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is open to active and retired military members, RCMP personnel and their families. Organizers say Legion membership is not required for those wishing to attend the community gathering.
Aspira’s Carolina Retirement Community hosts a spring open house tomorrow and Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. daily. Guests can enjoy refreshments, tour suites, and meet residents while exploring amenities. The event offers an opportunity for prospective residents and families to experience the community firsthand in a welcoming setting.
