The Lanark Animal Welfare Society has appointed Bill Dickson as its new Executive Director.
Dickson brings extensive experience from a long career in media relations with the Ontario Provincial Police. He has also been active in community service, serving as treasurer for his local OPP Association and supporting Special Olympics Ontario through fundraising and awareness initiatives.
A proud pet owner, Dickson shares his home with a rescue dog named Mr. Digby, who he says inspires his commitment to animal welfare.
The organization says his background in communications and community engagement will help strengthen outreach and support for animals across the region.
