The Smiths Falls By the Rideau Market takes place today from 3 to 7 p.m. at Lower Reach Park on Old Slys Road. Organizers say the weekly market features local produce, meats, baked goods, handmade crafts, artwork and specialty items. The family-friendly event also offers free parking and community vendors.
The Smiths Falls Legion hosts a Fish and Chips Night today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Branch 95 on Main Street East. Organizers say dine-in and takeout options will be available, with dinners including fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce and lemon. Pre-orders can be placed by calling 613-283-2101.
The Perth Legion at 26 Beckwith St. E. will host Friday Food Night today at 5 p.m. The meal includes barbecue chicken breast on a bun, coleslaw and a homemade butter tart. Tickets are $15 and available through the legion office. Information: Bill Blair at 705-380-6079.
