The Health Unit says that as of November 28th, more than 516,000 COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered in Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville.
And they’re reminding those who are due for a shot, that now is a good time to get it done.
They note that as we move inside during colder weather, we need to be reminded of the importance of being vaccinated against COVID-19 it is the single most effective measure to reduce your risk of getting really sick.
Viruses spread more quickly indoors and when people are gathered together to visit and celebrate the holidays and getting your shots will help protect anyone who is susceptible to the virus that you may come into contact with.
Last week saw two COVID-19 related deaths in our region alone.
