Medications for children are slowly making their way on to shelves in Pharmacies across Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville.
But if you can’t get them and have a sick child, the Health Unit’s Medical Officer of Health Dr. Linna Li says there are things you can do to help.
For example:
The doctor says give them cool fluids too. A not-so warm bath can help too.
You can also ask your pharmacist if they have anything that can help. Most can mix a medication on the spot to help reduce fever.
The Health Unit’s Jenny Vandermeer says if you see some and need it, please buy responsibly.
Stock of the medications is expected to increase in the coming weeks.
