The town of Smiths Falls is urging residents and non-residents to apply to openings on several of their committees and boards.
Mayor Shawn Pankow says these various boards play a key role in guiding the town’s decision-making process.
The town’s looking to fill seats on seven boards and committees including the Racism and Discrimination Task Force, which will soon be converted into an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee.
Applications close noon Wednesday, December 7th.
Non-residents of the town can apply to advisory boards only.
There are currently openings in the following committees and boards:
- Child Development Centre Advisory Board
- Heritage House Museum Advisory Board
- Municipal Heritage Committee
- Public Library Board
- Smiths Falls Drug Strategy Committee
- Racism and Discrimination Task Force
- Accessibility Advisory Committee
