Vigil set to remember victims of violence against women at Perth Women’s Monument

Lanark County Interval House has an open invitation for the public to join them for a candlelight vigil in acknowledgement of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

The ceremony will remember and honour those taken in the December 6, 1989 École Polytechnique Massacre and all of the women in Lanark County who have been taken too soon by violence.

The organization says this is a call to action to end violence against women everywhere.

The Vigil takes place this evening, (December 6th, 2022) at 6 p.m. in the park beside the Crystal Palace in Perth, at the Women’s Monument.
