The Ontario government is providing over $8 million to help renew and rehabilitate local infrastructure in Lanark-Frontenac Kingston through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.
In making the announcement, MPP John Jordan said investing in infrastructure is a priority of the his government.
Money will go to projects like the revitalization of Catherine Street in Smiths Falls, and resurfacing of a section of Drummond Concession 1 in Drummond/North Elsmley. Roadwork will be done in Carleton Place too.
Communities like Perth, Beckwith, Lanark Highlands, Mississippi Mills, Montague, Tay Valley, and Lanark County itself will also receive money from the fund.
