It’s another big travel day for some, but there are still challenges in the wake of the big storm.
VIA Rails has cancelled all Boxing Day trains on its Toronto-Ottawa and Toronto-Montreal routes. That means trains out of Smiths Falls, a popular departure point after Christmas, is silent today.
If you’re flying call ahead. There are still a few cancelled or delayed flights out there.
But if you’re driving you’re in luck. Most main roads are clear and bare.
It took longer than normal as many “weather events” were declared by counties and municipalities. That move gave them more time to get the cleanup done while the snow fell and the winds blew.
