The Alzheimer’s Society of Lanark Leeds and Grenville are recognizing January as Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, raising awareness for the disease that can cause memory and thinking ability to deteriorate over time.
We spoke with Education and Support Coordinator Sean McFadden, who shared this year’s theme.
He also spoke of some of the warning signs to be aware of.
Several events are planned throughout the month including January 20th at the Smiths Falls Community Centre and Coffee and Cupcakes at the Brockville Library on January 25th, both from 10am until 12:30pm.
