The Winter Storm Warning issued by Environment Canada for our entire listening area remains in effect today.
The government forecaster says snow, heavy at times will fall with total amounts of 10-15cm with some spots seeing up to 25 or 30 cm.
It is expected to end this afternoon.
It’s all thanks to a low pressure system south of the lower Great Lakes that has been making its way right for us.
They ask that you consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to drive on as the snow piles up. Crews are out doing their best to keep up.
Keep listening to Lake 88 throughout the day for the latest on this blast of winter.
