Carleton Place town treasurer Trisa McConkey put forth a 1.95% increase proposal for water and sewer rates for tax payers in 2023.
McConkey also looked further ahead to 2024 when work’s expected to begin on the expansion of the town’s water and waste-water plant, saying it won’t be the residents footing the bill.
An increase of 1.95% would cost the average home owner a little under $19 annually.
