The Health Unit says that COVID-19 transmission rates remain stable and moderate in Lanark, Leeds and Grenville.
That said, local data showed another local fatality related to the virus, bringing the pandemic total to 146.
The latest surveillance report also shows the number of new high risk cases dropped off to 88 for the week a dcrease of 30 from the week before. Hospitalizations are down to six with just one in the ICU. Last week there were 10 in hospital and three in our ICUs.
There are seven outbreaks in congregate care facilities, accounting for 104 cases. That’s about the same as last week. There is one additional outbreak though. It is listed in the other category and accounts for 15 cases.
We go over the numbers today on In Focus when our Medical Officer of Health Dr. Linna Li joins us after the News at Noon, only on Lake 88.
