Health Officials across the province and here at home, say that the flu and RSV seasons are winding down, but they note that’s not the case for COVID-19.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Linna Li says COVID is not seasonal like the other highly transmissible viruses.
She says transmission has to with rising and falling infection rates.
Li says unlike the aforementioned illnesses however, COVID-19 has greater staying power.
The doctor adds continuing to live with the virus while respecting it is key to living life as normal as possible.
