Environment Canada has maintained the snowfall warning they issued Wednesday for the snowfall we saw beginning in the afternoon and carrying on overnight and into Thursday.
The significant snowfall should end this afternoon but the region could see up to an additional 5cm.
The bulk of the heavy snow has fallen last night.
However, snow will continue this morning before tapering off to flurries this afternoon.
There could be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas early this morning. Allow extra time to reach your destination.
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
