The Town of Carleton Place has received $534,626 from the Canada Community Revitalization Fund.
The first project is the revitalization of the downtown core by way of sidewalk replacement and installing pedestrian crosswalks. That bill is $454,455.
The second project is for the town’s purchase and installation of an accessibly play structure, outdoor exercise equipment and shaded structure at Train Station Park. That’s tallied up at $80,171.
Mayor Toby Randell said revitalizing downtown alongside the Central Bridge work goes a long way in creating a vibrant space for residents and visitors.
