Smiths Falls Police have arrested a local female following a report of an assault.
They say on the evening of January 22nd, they attended a Bell Avenue residence where an investigation revealed the suspect allegedly assaulted a male victim known to her, cutting him with an “edged weapon.”
The victim suffered minor injuries and was administered first aid by police before paramedics arrived.
21-year-old Cassidy Sargeant was later located and faces charges assault and assault with a weapon.
According to the Perth Court Docket, Sargeant made a first appearance Monday.
