This is the time of year when vehicle thefts become a bit easier for would be thieves.
The temperature has dropped, especially overnight, making a morning commute quite chilly and that car brisk if it’s not heated up.
That was OPP Constable Ed Sanchuk.
He understands it’s not ideal, but the best thing you can do is be by your vehicle at all times while it’s running.
He said the headache the comes from a vehicle theft can be avoided by a few minutes out in the cold.
Sanchuk added it’s important for residents to contact the police should they suspect any suspicious activity.
