Over $1 million was raised by United Way Leeds & Grenville for their 2022 campaign.
The goal was set at $935,000 and not only did they clear that, they eclipsed the seven digit total by nearly $12,000.
Executive Director Trish Buote says they are now working on plan to put the money to good use.
The money will be allocated to areas of importance determined by the Community Investment Committee.
Buote added that they do plan to keep fundraising throughout the entire year, which includes a raffle to win a car. The other plan is to try and stay ahead of the million dollar mark annually.
